After you apply
Once you’ve submitted your application the Scottish Government registration team will review the information provided. You may be contacted to verify the information you gave in your application.
If successful
If your application is accepted you will be sent your registration number and your company details will be added to the public register.
Refusal
In the first instance the registration team will write to you to tell you that your application may be refused and the reason for doing so. At this point you would be able to make written representation in support of your application.
If you are refused, you can appeal the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Housing and Property Chamber)
You must not trade as a letting agent if your application is refused.
